Meet the Family
Andrea
Hi, my name is Andrea.
I am a mother first and foremost but I’m also a woman from East Germany who has a passion for learning new things and expanding my knowledge (which is essential for an entrepreneur). I have a love for exploring the world, experiencing adventures, trying crazy sports and meeting new people. My background in International Tourism Management has allowed me to live on different continents but seeing the world through the eyes of my kids is another dimension for me.
Having Alpay on my side - since we lived in the same student dorm - is such a blessing because he keeps me grounded and allows me to be in charge most of the time. Or perhaps he knows it wouldn’t make sense to argue with someone as ambitious and determined as I am? ;-P

Hey there, my name is Alpay which almost sounds like “I’ll pay”.
I have Turkish roots but grew up in West Germany which has given me the benefit of being exposed to different cultural perspectives. Family is the most important aspect of my life but I also enjoy sports, meditation, producing music and I’m interested in photography and technology.
I find it very rewarding that my work in the aerospace industry can also benefit me personally when we travel.
My role during our journeys is to remain level-headed and composed even in stressful situations. So even though I might come across as quiet when you first meet me, it does not have to stay this way.
If things become too serious, I like to lighten the mood with a touch of humor. :-D
Laila Isabella
Hallo, my name is Laila.
As a big sister I may appear quiet and calm but I actually have a great sense of humor and enjoy laughing a lot. I’m a dedicated student in secondary school and a loyal friend to my girlfriends. We enjoy the wildest games together but I also appreciate time alone, listening to music, playing the guitar or piano and singing along.
I am passionate about animals, particularly cats, horses and dolphins. On our travels I especially love safaris, interacting with animals and spending quality time with my parents & brothers. During our world travel year 2023/24 I found out that I also enjoy snorkeling very much - hopefully, I will get many more opportunities to observe the underwater world!
Emmet Taylan
Hello! My name is Emmet but most people call me “Emmy”.
I am a sandwich child, therefore I have the freedom to choose who to spend time with and I have a wide range of interests. I love sports especially Ninjutsu and soccer, I love playing with LEGO bricks and I also play the piano and I like reading “Harry Potter” and other books. However, I mostly enjoy building things, doing crafts or drawing. My family says that I can be proud to already have had a vernissage, well the next one is coming for sure. My grandma says that I’m a little genius and as such, I believe that keeping order is not as important. My friends from school agree, so I don’t understand why my mom asks me to regularly tidy up my desk or room. ;-o
Malik Aiden
Hey, I am Malik but you can call me “big boss”.
I am the youngest in the family but I probably have the most friends because I love being around others. Playing soccer is one of my hobbies but I also play the drums and dance to KPop. My favorite subject at school is math - well, after sports - and I like my German teacher a lot.
I have many cars, trains, costumes and other toys but lately, I spend most of my time on my iPad playing games or watching (of course only) our videos. :-D
During our travels, I often miss my grandparents and other family members. But I never stay sad for long as good food always cheers me up - I have a sweet tooth and love anything sweet.
