India is a land of contrasts, a place where the modern world meets millennia-old culture. A trip to India can be overwhelming for adults, but what about children? Are you ready for the adventure? In this article we share our impressions from 2.5 weeks in India with our children. We spent the first ten days in New Delhi, where contrasts collide, but see for yourself:

Of course, a trip to the famous Taj Mahal couldn't be missed. So we went on a four-hour drive, visited a few sights on the way and were then surprised that there was even more to discover in India's former capital:

Varanasi: The holy city on the Ganges

Our last stop was Varanasi, one of the oldest and holiest cities in India. Here we experienced the spiritual side of the country. A morning boat trip on the holy Ganges or the Aarti ceremonies on the banks of the river in the evening not only fascinated the children. The narrow streets of the old town and the colorful market at Manikarnika Ghat were pure exoticism for us:
